Platform · Engagements
Scope, milestones, deliverables and decisions for an advisory mandate, in one place.
Run an advisory engagement against a written scope, with milestones, status reports and deliverables that the client accepts on the record. Meetings, action items and decisions sit on the same record as the work.

The problem
Advisory work drifts when the scope lives in an email
An adviser takes on a mandate with a scope agreed over lunch and confirmed in a short email. Three months in, the client remembers asking for a buyer list and a valuation, the adviser remembers agreeing only to the information memorandum, and the action items from the last four meetings are spread across notebooks. Drafts go back and forth on WhatsApp, comments land on the wrong version, and nobody can say which decision was taken at which meeting. The relationship suffers long before the deal does.
What it gives you
Inside engagements, feature by feature.
Scope and milestones
Write the scope once, break it into milestones with dates, and keep any change to scope as a dated, agreed revision.
Status reports
A short weekly or fortnightly report drawn from the milestones and open items, so the client sees progress without asking for it.
Deliverables and acceptance
Each deliverable is submitted on the record and the client accepts it or sends it back with comments. This is how output based work gets signed off.
Meeting agendas and action items
Share the agenda before the meeting, note action items during it, and give each one an owner and a due date.
Decision logs
Record what was decided, by whom and on what date, such as the asking range or the shortlist of buyers to approach.
Discussion threads and annotations
Comment on a specific page or paragraph of a draft, and keep the discussion right beside the document.
How it works
A typical run through engagements
- Step 1Agree the scopeWrite what the engagement covers, what it does not, and what done means for each deliverable. Both sides confirm it.
- Step 2Set milestones and ownersBreak the scope into milestones with dates and owners on the adviser's side and the client's side.
- Step 3Run the meetings on the recordAgendas go out in advance. Action items and decisions are logged during the meeting, while everyone is in the room.
- Step 4Submit and accept deliverablesDrafts are reviewed with comments on the document. The final version is submitted and the client accepts it or sends it back.
An example
An Ahmedabad CA firm running a sell side mandate
A mid-sized CA firm in Ahmedabad is asked by a long standing client, a pharmaceutical distributor, to help sell the business. The partner writes the scope on Synerger: a valuation range, an information memorandum, a list of likely buyers and support through to a signed term sheet. Each becomes a milestone with a date. The promoter comments directly on the draft memorandum, asking for the cold chain warehouses to be described more fully. At the third meeting the promoter decides not to approach two competitors in the same city, and that decision is logged with the date. When the memorandum is final, it is submitted and the promoter accepts it. The judgement on price and buyers stays with the promoter, guided by the partner.

Questions
About engagements
Can an outside adviser use this for their own clients?
Yes. CA firms, lawyers and boutique advisers can run their mandates on Synerger, with their clients invited into each engagement.
How does acceptance relate to paying for the work?
When you engage our advisory team on an output based model, the signed scope says what done means and you pay after you accept the deliverable. The acceptance on the record is that step.
What if the scope changes halfway?
Record the change as a revision with a date, what was added or removed, and confirmation from both sides. The earlier version stays visible.
