How engagements work
A written scope first. Payment after you accept the work.
Advisory work on Synerger is done by the Code Colonies consulting team. Every engagement starts with a written scope, runs in a shared workspace where you can see progress, and is priced either per output or on time inside your team.

How is advisory paid?
Every engagement starts with a written scope. Most work runs under O2E, the output based model, where you pay after you accept the work; FDE places advisers inside your team. Advisory fees are agreed per engagement. Build work after a deal runs on 2good.dev terms: INR 199 or USD 2 an hour, 150 hour minimum, no advance.
How it runs
From first call to acceptance.
The same five steps whether the work is a valuation, a sell side mandate or a hundred day integration.
- Step 1First callWhat you want, why now, what you can share before an NDA
- Step 2Written scopeOutputs, milestones, people, timeline and price, signed
- Step 3Shared workspaceMilestones, status reports, decisions and action items in Synerger
- Step 4Deliver and reviewEach output checked against the specification
- Step 5Accept and payYou pay for what you have accepted

O2E
Output based engagement
A signed specification says exactly what done means: a valuation report, a diligence findings pack, an integration plan. We deliver it and you review it against the specification.
Fits
- A defined piece of work with a clear output
- Sell side preparation, valuation, diligence management
- When you want cost certainty before you start
FDE
Forward deployed advisers
Advisers, and engineers where systems are involved, work inside your team for a period: in your Monday review, on your deal calls, in your workspace. Useful when the work cannot be specified in advance.
Fits
- A live deal with changing questions
- The first hundred days after closing
- Building a deal team's habits while running a deal

What a scope contains
Everything that decides whether the work was done.
A good scope is short and specific. If something matters to you, it is written in.
- The question we are answering
- Each output and what done means
- Milestones and dates
- Who works on it, from both sides
- What you provide, and by when
- Price per output, or the FDE terms
- How acceptance works
- Confidentiality and data handling
After the deal
When the plan needs systems built.
Integration often means moving payroll, merging charts of accounts or replacing an ERP. That work is done by the Code Colonies technology team on 2good.dev terms, and you pay after you accept the work.
Questions
About fees and engagements.
What do advisory engagements cost?
Fees depend on the scope and are agreed in writing before work starts. We do not publish advisory fees. For output based work, you know the price of each output before we begin.
Do you charge a success fee?
That is agreed per engagement and written into the scope. We set out how we propose to charge for your situation at the first call.
What if we do not accept the output?
The specification is the test. You accept the work when it meets what was signed, and payment follows acceptance. If it falls short, the gap is plain to both sides because the test was agreed in writing.
